SHELTER

We live in a hemp house so we know through first hand experience that hempcrete walls provide an all natural, non-toxic breathable insulation that doubles as thermal mass. This material is also low-carbon, has an excellent naturally achieved fire rating, does not off-gas and provides rodent, rot, insect, mildew and mold resistance due to its alkalinity (ph of 12!) With two cast in place hempcrete projects under my belt, three hempcrete casting workshops, and spending countless hours on researching design considerations, material properties, compatibility and sourcing, I am one of your best resources in the eastern united states when it comes to working with hempcrete.

BATLING ADDICTION

We hope to partner with pioneers and visionaries in the substance abuse rehabilitation space who are ready to rethink how we can better address this issue. CBD is analgesic, non-intoxicating, non-pycho-active, non-addictive and helps weaken cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Cannabis (especially hemp) should be in the toolkit of any substance abuse program that has integrity and vision. We are ready to partner with any clinic or non-profit on treating opioid addiction that takes this issue seriously. Sadly, many opioid addiction treatment centers are more concerned with turning a profit and creating lifelong customers for their pills than they are about rehabilitation and healing. If you have a clinic and want to offer your patients full spectrum hemp extracts please reach out! I’m confident we can find a way to help you incorporate this option into your practice.

The Entourage Effect

Phytocannabinoid-terpenoid entourage effects

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been the primary focus of cannabis research since 1964, when Raphael Mechoulam isolated and synthesized it. More recently, the synergistic contributions of cannabidiol to cannabis pharmacology and analgesia have been scientifically demonstrated. Other phytocannabinoids, including tetrahydrocannabivarin, cannabigerol and cannabichromene, exert additional effects of therapeutic interest. Innovative conventional plant breeding has yielded cannabis chemotypes expressing high titres of each component for future study.

What are Terpenes?

The first thing you notice upon entering a well-stocked medical marijuana dispensary is the many varieties of cannabis on display – dozens of glass jars filled with glistening, manicured bud. Everyone has their favorites: OG Kush, Headband, Sour Diesel, Flo, Lemon Thai, Super Silver Haze… Some strains are energizing, some are sedating; some are better for pain, others for inspiration.

CBD likely reducesanxiety NIH

Anxiety- and trauma-related disorders are prevalent and debilitating mental illnesses associated with a significant socioeconomic burden. Current treatment approaches often have inadequate therapeutic responses, leading to symptom relapse. Here we review recent preclinical and clinical findings on the potential of cannabinoids as novel therapeutics for regulating fear and anxiety.
